For Wednesday evening services, the Lord has lead me to do a Bible study for practical Bible verses in Matthew. Please come back to these Bible lessons in order to review them and learn them. Whenever we have learned the meaning of Bible verses and think about them throughout each day, we will be in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Not only that, but when we are in a situation in our daily lives and are tempted to sin, we can think back to what we have learned from the Bible and say to ourselves, "The Bible says to not do what I am tempted to say, think, do, and/or desire right now, so I am going to refuse to give in to this temptation." This is what Romans 12:2 means, and it says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." This is also the pattern that Jesus used when the devil tempted Him to sin in Matthew 4:1-11.
Chapter 18
THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO MATTHEW
Matthew 18:19-20
19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. (When a Christian doesn't have unconfessed sin and believes God will answer their prayers, great things happen when they pray for someone to be healed of cancer or to find a job, etc. The possibilities of prayers like those being answered becomes greater when another Christian or several Christians pray for the same results.) 20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (This verse carries the same meaning as the previous verse, but it also refers to Christians gathering together for church. If two or more Christians join together in order .to worship the Lord and study the Bible, Jesus will be in their presence. This makes church that much more of a blessing! Hebrews 10:25 says, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." With the promise of Matthew 18:20, why would Christians not want to have church?)
If you have prayed or made a decision to become a Christian, but you don't normally go to church, either through this online church with another person or through a different church, ask God to forgive you and try your best to do this every Wednesday and Sunday.
